Early 2011 NBA Championship Flavor
Ft. Lauderdale (AP)-In a seemingly popular move the NBA awarded the 2011 NBA Championship to the Miami Heat at the Elbo Room in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida today. "After watching Sports Center this morning it just seemed like the right thing to do," Commissioner David Stern was quoted as saying as he ordered Buttery Nipples for the team at the bar. "All the sportscasters seemed to agree with the outcome and we decided why even play the series? It was almost like SportsCenter kept showing the same show over and over for most of the morning." As King James and Dwayne Wade kept seeing who could hold the trophy the highest, Chris Bosh opened up to a reporter about the situation, "I know a lot of people are going to question the NBA for this move. And I did too until DShizzel explained the stats to me. We beat every team we played 4-1 in the series. Dallas didn't. They took 2 games to beat Portland in Round 1. I know they swept the Lakers in Round 2 but the Lakers are old, tired and beat up. The Celtics were fresh. OKC only has one superstar and are just too young to even be in Round 3. Chicago is stacked with stars and seasoned. So 12-3 at this stage isn't going to make it in the playoffs. I know that they beat us 2-0 in the regular season but DS told me not to worry about that." David Stern somewhat agreed as he said" the whole thing helps us avoid another round of calls like the 2006 Final Series. We almost lost the championship there". There was only one arrest on record of a Dan Gilbert of Cleveland that kept shouting to the press that Miami beat Dallas in 2006 without all the self indulgence of this year's Miami Club. On a side note, the NBA fined Mark Cuban $150,000.00 just to keep it real.
